A Chapter Volunteer supports the Chapter Chair, Chapter Leaders and the organization of events and programs. Chapter volunteers assist with professional development events, welcoming new members and newly certified members. Chapter volunteers also communicate I4PL member benefits and certification programs.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver a minimum of four professional development activities per fiscal year:
o Two professional development events that focus on one of the five identified core competencies of the profession
o Two additional events which are programmed according to the local market. These can include sharing best practices, webinars, sessions or workshops
• Welcome new members monthly within the respective region.
• Welcome new certification candidates and congratulate newly certified members monthly.
• Provide information at all events on:
o I4PL member benefits
o I4PL certification programs
o I4PL events and initiatives as communicated by the National Office
• Seek opportunities for communicating I4PL member benefits and certification to local companies or complementary associations.
Criteria
To be a Chapter Volunteer, the volunteer must be a current I4PL member in good standing. Chapter service is strictly on a volunteer basis.?Serving on a Chapter requires playing an active and engaged role in the Chapter.
